The psalmist then pleads for God to revive His people again, asking for an end to His anger and for salvation (verses 4-7). The psalmist expresses hope in God\u2019s response, anticipating His peace, steadfast love, and righteousness, which will bring harmony and prosperity to the land (verses 8-11). Jesus Christ is the one in whom all God’s blessings are to be found, the one who radiates God’s love and faithfulness (John 1:14, 17). He is our peace and our salvation, our Mediator who intercedes between us and God (HC LD 6 Q18). As Christians we sing this Psalm knowing that it is in Christ that we receive all the blessings which God has promised to his people (cf. Ephesians 1:3).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
